This isn’t the first time Alona comes back to give her voice to an animated character. This year, she joins again for the voice of Kat-B320 for Gears 5. She first made Kat’s voice on Halo: Reach in 2010. Here is a small trailer and a short description on her character:

Sadly it seems like we will not see Alona Tal in NYPD BLUE. Hopefully they will release the pilot as a tv movie so we can get a chance to see it.

ABC’s NYPD Blue revival did not make it onto the network’s fall schedule — and now we know why.

“The main problem was that the bar was so high,” ABC’s entertainment president, Karey Burke tells TVLine of the “heartbreaking” decision to pass on the pilot. “It was a very good pilot. On any other network, in any other circumstance, that show [likely] gets on the air. For us, we kept the bar really high. We all felt like unless we can really advance the ball from the original let’s let the original rest. They did as good a job as one can do with something that is that revered.”

Earlier reports suggested ABC would reshoot the pilot with an eye towards a possible slot in the Alphabet network’s midseason slate. Burke is not completely ruling out that possibility. “I can’t say definitively, 100 percent that it won’t come back around,” she says. “Because it might come back around.”

Red Sea Diving Resort is now out on Netflix. We have seen the movie, but, unfortunately, Alona’s character, Sarah Levinson as the main character’s sister, as been cut out. We’ve changed the title of the movie on the gallery adding uncredited for future reference.

With an iconic title like NYPD Blue, if you do a reboot, you need to nail every aspect of it with no margin for error. For that reason, I hear that ABC’s NYPD Blue pilot will not be going for fall. I hear ABC brass remain high on the project but feel it needs a little more work.

The pilot, among the buzziest dramas at ABC this season, will be tweaked and likely undergo some reshoots for midseason consideration.

Like the original 1993-2005 ABC series, the follow-up revolves around a core group of 15th Precinct police officers/detectives, led by Theo. It also includes Detective Craig Pettibone (Rick Gomez) and Detective Nicole Lazarus (Alona Tal). Delaney and Brochtrup are reprising their roles as Diane Russell and John Irvin, respectively.

The reboot hails from NYPD Blue alums Matt Olmstead, Nick Wootton and Jesse Bochco. The pilot, a co-production between 20th Century Fox TV — which was behind the original series — and ABC Studios, was written by Olmstead and Wootton. Bochco, son of NYPD Blue co-creator Steven Bochco, who helmed 10 episodes of the original series, is set to direct. All three executive produce, while Steven Bochco’s widow, Dayna Bochco, serves as a producer.

With casting currently underway, ABC is eyeing to begin production on the sequel series to ‘NYPD Blue’ in February of 2019 in New York City. Jesse Bocho, the co-creator of the original ‘NYPD Blue,’ will direct the pilot.

Alona Tal is set to star as Detective Nicole Lazuras, with three other lead roles yet to be filled. The show will revolve around the son of Andy Sipowicz, who was the main character of the original series.

‘NYPD Blue’ hails from Bocho, Matt Olmstead and Nick Wootton. No release date has been set.

Tal will play one of the four main roles and the female lead in the sequel, which revolves around Theo, the son of Dennis Franz’s Detective Andy Sipowicz character from the original series, who tries to earn his detective shield and work in the 15th squad while investigating his father’s murder.

Tal will play Detective Nicole Lazarus, one of the detectives working out of the 15th Precinct. Nicole has a tangled personal life; her soon-to-be-ex-husband is divorcing her, and he’s trying to get his mitts on a slice of her pension. She’s trying to ease the pain by having a no-strings affair.

The reboot hails from NYPD Blue alums Matt Olmstead, Nick Wootton and Jesse Bochco. The pilot, a co-production between 20th Century Fox TV, which was behind the original series, and ABC Studios, was written by Olmstead and Wootton. Bochco, son of NYPD Blue co-creator Steven Bochco, who helmed 10 episodes of the original series, is set to direct. All three executive produce, while Steven Bochco’s widow, Dayna Bochco, serves as a producer.

Like the original series, the followup revolves around a core group of 15th Precinct police officers/detectives, which includes one woman, Tal’s Nicole. At the outset of the original series, that was Amy Brenneman’s Janice.

Created by Bochco and David Milch, NYPD Blue debuted in 1993 and ran for 12 seasons, setting a record for the longest-running drama series on ABC, a mark only recently eclipsed by Grey’s Anatomy. It won 20 Emmy Awards from 84 nominations over its run, including best drama series, and was lauded for its realistic portrayal of cops’ lives.

Tal, an Israeli-American actress and singer, was a series regular on Amazon’s Hand Of God and has been recurring on CBS’ SEAL Team. Her U.S TV series credits also include Veronica Mars, Supernatural and Burn Notice. She is repped by McKeon Myones Entertainment, Innovative Artists and attorney Mark Temple.
